The term Hybrid Mail
refers to a written message sent to the
post office electronically, which undertakes
to print, dispatch and distribute it in
a physical form. Hybrid Mail is an important
service for the postal sector as it helps
improve customer connectivity, access and
quality of service.
The official statistics received from the
UPU member postal administrations in the
2004 UPU survey show the usage of Hybrid
Mail worldwide. The publication on “Postal
Statistics” is done every year by
UPU Statistics Service and released in December.

Some 181 of the UPU member countries
